Instructions:
Take a clean colorimetric tube, add the sample to be tested to the scale line, add a pack of NO2- (I), shake well, add another pack of NO2- (II) after 5 minutes, shake well, and perform visual colorimetry after 10 minutes. When comparing colors, lift the colorimetric tube to a blank space about 1 cm away from the colorimetric card, and compare colors visually from top to bottom. The standard color scale with the same color tone as the solution in the tube is the nitrite content in the sample (mg/L)
Note:
Various strong oxidizing and reducing agents can cause interference
Cu2+, Fe2+ and nitrates cause the test results to be low
Metal ions such as lead, mercury and silver can cause interference by forming precipitates
Common interferences:
The pH value should be controlled at 5-8

The color of the liquid itself will also interfere. Activated carbon can be used for decolorization
